The global economic crisis that erupted in 2008 has not yet passed. Leaders of the global economy are still struggling with the damage it has caused and are trying to create barriers that can withstand another collapse. The theory and ideology at the heart of the capitalist system is no longer taken as a given and there is doubt as to the effectiveness of international economic institutions.  How does the task of bringing the global economy back to health look to the leaders and decision-makers? Is the crisis contributing to the development of a new economic balance of power between the West and the rest of the world?
