The Hon. Kjell Magne Bondevik, Norway

The Hon. Kjell Magne Bondevik, Norway, served as Prime Minister of Norway for two terms of offices as a representative of the Christian Democratic Party (1997-2000, 2001-2005) and is the Founder and President of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights. He also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Church and Education. He was a member of the Norwegian Parliament from 1973-2005.  Bondevik served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa in 2006-2007. Mr. Bondevik holds the degree of Cand.Theol. and was ordained as a priest in the Lutheran Church of Norway in 1979.
