Professor Noam Sobel, Israel

Professor Noam Sobel is the Head of the Olfaction Research Group in the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He researches olfaction in human subjects and in machines (electronic noses), the systems-level neurobiological mechanisms of olfactory processing and ways in which chemical sensing effects human health and behavior. Sobel was Associate Professor (Neuroscience) at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (HWNI) at the University of California and was awarded the JULUDAN Prize for advancing technology in medicine by the Technion.
