Professor Michael Walzer is the Professor Emeritus of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University. He is a contributing editor for The New Republic and has served as editor of the political journal Dissent for more than three decades. Walzer is considered one of America’s foremost political thinkers, writing on political theory and moral philosophy, including political obligation, just and unjust war, nationalism and ethnicity, economic justice, and the welfare state. Walzer’s books include Arguing About War (2004).
