Dr. Rodrigo Vergara is the Governor and a Member of the Board of the Central Bank of Chile. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of journals Estudios Públicos and Economía Chilena. In the past, he served as Chief Economist of the Bank and as Coordinator of the Macroeconomics Department of the Center for Public Studies. Vergara was full professor at the Economics Department of Universidad Católica and has been an external consultant for the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations. He served as a Member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Work and Equity, on the Advisory Council on the Chile-United States Free Trade Agreement, of the National Savings Commission, of the Conicyt Economics Group.
