Dr. Leroy Hood is the President and Founder of the Institute for Systems Biology and one of the world’s leading scientists in molecular biotechnology and genomics. Dr. Hood is a key player in the Human Genome Project and also played a pioneering role in deciphering the secrets of antibody diversity. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine. He was a founding member of Amgen and in 2012, received the US National Medal of Science.
